The Robert C. Parker 4/5 Classroom

Buddies!
The 4/5s had a fantastic time getting to know the Pre-K 3 and Pre-K 4 students! This is the first time that the 4th graders will be the big buddies! The 5th graders offered helpful advice to their younger classmates. Each Friday the buddies will spend time engaging in fun activities such as reading, drawing, writing, building, creating group books, exploring and learning together.

4/5 Authors
Students recalled the many exciting things they did over the summer. Each student then wrote a "Looking Back on Summer" poem telling the story of their many adventures.

Camp Chingachgook 2018

Archery, canoeing, hiking, and team building  were just a few of the many activities the
4/5s enjoyed at camp!

 The 2018 Parker 4/5 Class

Students embarked on an opening day classroom/classmate  scavenger hunt!

Having fun at recess!

Students worked together to brainstorm classroom belief statements and then partners created min-posters with their thoughtful statements.
These included:
We are all a page in the same book.
We can accomplish anything if we work together.
Shine bright like the sun.
Always include everyone, no matter what the occasion.
Be patient, be positive, and there's always a second chance.
Everyone's voice is important.
The sun will shine another day.
Believe in yourself and never give up!

At our first Friday assembly of the year, classes were introduced and cheered!

The 4/5s had a great start to the new school year! It's going to be a fantastic year!
